The consequences of global warming

  • There is expected to be an increase in the number of hot days, and a decrease in the number of cold days.
  • Warmer temperatures will lead to an increase in severe droughts and floods in some places.
  • Climate change can be quite unpredictable, so it may lead to some "surprises".
  • Many animal species will become extinct as they will be unable to adapt to the change in temperature.
  • Many plant species will die out as they will not be able to migrate fast enough to find new habitats as the heat encroaches on their existing territory.
